The Spring 2026 retreat will be a non-residential retreat in Boise, ID and will take place the weekend of May 22-24. Our friend Michael Cyborski will be the visiting teacher.

How to Cultivate our Noble Qualities

We hope that you are continuing to experience wonderful, mindful days of practice and contemplation and are enjoying all of your present moments.

There will be a Public Talk, Wednesday, May, 20th 7:00pm-8:30pm, led by Michael, is still being held at the Beginners Mind Sangha’s practice address; the Boise Institute of Buddhist Studies, 901 N. 15th St. Boise (15th and Fort). It is an opportunity to sit with our practice community and hear this wonderful teacher.

The suggested donation (Dana) of $150 to support the teacher and the Community.  Space is limited. Please note that if you are unable to offer Dana you are still invited to participate and there is an option during the registration process to choose any Dana from $0 to increasing unites of $50. You may also register for $0 and give your Dana to an OI member at the retreat or anytime before.

Registration deadline is May 17, 2026.  If you register, please refer to the Guide for a Mindful Retreat posted below. You will also receive an email with additional information once you register.

Registration and settling in from 6-6:30 Friday evening, sitting meditation at 6:30 pm, no dinner provided Friday night
Full day Saturday & 2/3 day Sunday

Snacks and tea are provided. Each member is responsible for bringing a vegetarian lunch, for Saturday and Sunday and a dinner for Saturday. These meals will preferably be stored in a cooler brought by the participant and not require heating. There will be options for cooling and heating but with 40-50 people at the retreat that can be a logistical challenge and we strongly encourage you to help relieve mealtime suffering.
