Mindfulness Practice Opportunites
Monthly Morning Mindfulness
Morning Mindfulness generally occurs one Saturday each month. Morning Mindfulness begins at 8:30 am and ends at approximately noon, followed immediately by a mindful, brown bag lunch. Practice consists of sitting and walking meditations, dharma talk and discussion. Dress comfortably and bring your own vegetarian lunch if you wish to stay for our community meal. Specific dates and locations will be posted on the website calendar of events and on the "Morning Mindfulness" tab under "Sangha Activities".
Weekly Mindfulness Practice Opportunities
Wednesday Evenings – 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Arrive at 6:30 pm to have a cup of tea, visit and settle in. The practice is 7:00 to 8:30 pm with sitting and walking meditation followed by recitations, Dharma talks, or discussions inspired by the Plum Village Tradition. Practice location is Boise Institute for Buddhist Studies (BIBS) 901 N. 15th Street, Boise.
Tuesday Mornings – 7:30 to 8:30 am
Every Tuesday, Early Birds practice at Yoga for Wellness, 1175 E. Parkcenter, of Southshore and Parkcenter Blvds. Practice consists of two periods of seated meditation, with walking in between, followed by a brief discussion. It is acceptable to arrive late and/or depart early. All are welcome.
Sunday Afternoons – 4:00 to 5:30 pm
Come enjoy sitting and walking meditations as well as recitations, Dharma talks, and discussions inspired by the Plum Village Tradition. Practice Location is: Boise Institute for Buddhist Studies (BIBS) 901 N. 15th Street, Boise.
We have the pleasure of hosting a dharmacharya (ordained teacher) each spring and fall. This is usually a non-residential retreat, starting Wednesday night at the Compassion & Insight Center, and continuing the following nights and weekend at a clubhouse at Harris Ranch.
Residential retreats are also scheduled and located as close to Boise as possible.
